Elizabeth is currently a student at the University of Mount Union, where she is pursuing a degree in music, with a minor in psychology. Her primary instrument of study is the piano. Elizabeth’s teaching philosophy centers on creating an environment in which students can develop their musical abilities, while feeling supported and motivated. She believes that lessons should be student-centered, and focused on each student’s individual goals and needs, recognizing that there is no single learning style that works for everyone.
Elizabeth believes students should find enjoyment in the music they play, and values exposing them to a wide range of musical genres and repertoire. She strives to create a professional, positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing themselves, developing an appreciation for music, and forming their own musical identity.
